About the talk

We will be sharing how a brand is no longer just a logo or just a business card; how businesses/clients have benefited by adopting good design and branding in their business; how it is important to be an educator and inspiration how we push boundaries and question the the status quo in creating the creative and brand experience for the clients/businesses.

 

About Yah-Leng Yu

Yah-Leng is the Founding Partner and Creative Director of Foreign Policy Design Group, a creative bureau based out of the tropical island of Singapore. She also co-created and co-run the official museum store Gallery & Co at the National Gallery Singapore. Yah-Leng was formally trained at the Art Institute of Boston before moving to New York City where her creative career blossomed. In 2007, she moved back to her hometown of Singapore where she co-founded Foreign Policy Design Group. Her works have been also recognized and honored by numerous awards, accolades and publications. Yah-Leng is an exco of The Design Society Singapore and she also sits on the advisory board of the Temasek School of Design. She has also often been invited to speak and judge at festivals, conferences and schools. Yah-Leng was recently named The Disrupters on The Tatler 300 List by Singapore Tatler.

About | A primer on assessing and designing a brand of a restaurant. Participants will be getting your brains cracking and your hands dirty within a 3 hour session. You get a chance to learn, assess, identify, understand; have some fun, make some friends and perhaps add a new project to your portfolio.
